Your stories are first told and recorded as Telegram voice messages. They are then collected and managed on a website, in the form of automatically generated audio tracks, texts and keywords. To record a story, you must first install Telegram on your mobile phone, and start a chat with a Telegram bot called @tiraccontobot that you can search among all Telegram users, paying attention to the correctness of the name.
The first time the bot will ask you to register on the website tiraccontounastoria.org, by sending you a link directly that appears as a button on the chat. By following it, you can register by creating a personal profile, approve informed consent, and enter your data. The email address is very important, in order to possibly recover the password in the future, if forgotten.
At this point, you can return to Telegram and continue the dialogue with the bot. If the bot takes too long to respond, you can wake it up by sending the /start message.
At the beginning of each recording, the bot asks you to choose an interview, i.e. a list of questions to ask the interviewee. You can use a predefined basic interview (which asks for your family history), or a free interview, with a single question answered with a single story, or you can Create an interview. In the latter case, you must send both the question text and the voice message of the answer to the bot. If, on the other hand, you choose a ready-made interview, you only have to record and send the voice messages with the answers.
Beware, at the end of each creation of an interview, or if you do not finish the list of questions, you must always press the End interview button, to send everything to our website for transcription and listening.
When we have finished processing your story, the bot sends you back a link that allows you to listen to it on our website, and if you want to forward it to your acquaintances. Interviews can be conducted both in person, by recording Telegram voice messages, and remotely, by forwarding voice messages received in other ways to @tiraccontobot.
Once you have recorded a story, you can listen to it, post it or send it to your friends using the website. Each story recorded at the beginning is private, meaning it can only be heard by you. If you want to send it to a friend, you need to log in to tiraccontounastoria.org, and choose Stories or My Stories from your profile. Each story is identified by the person being interviewed and the list of questions you asked them. By choosing it, through Sharing you can decide to make it public or send a link to friends or relatives via e-mail, Telegram, Whatsapp, or as you prefer. Be careful, because anyone who receives the link can in turn forward it to others.
